Great place to work and walk the dogs however far too many drug dealers it needs to be patrolled a bit more.

City Bank Local Nature Reserve (LNR) is a hidden gem close to the centre of Cirencester. It is situated on the Hare Festival Way, which roughly follows the route of the River Churn around the town. As well as having an amenity grassland and a restoration meadow, which are perfect for outdoor recreation activities, the Old Nursery site contains hawthorn and bramble scrub, providing a perfect spot for watching wildlife (especially winter birds).Water voles, kingfishers and herons are often seen on the river. Dippers have also occasionally been spotted and there is evidence of otters moving through the area. In the spring southern marsh orchids can also be seen flowering in Old Nursery, as well as numerous invertebrates, such as butterflies, banded demoiselles and bees.

A good spot to walk your dog.

Popular with dog walkers and on the hare trail.
