Awesome free park with lots of space for kids and dogs to play with a children's play area
This is a such a large park right on the edge of the town centre. Behind the church. It has a large lake, large childrens play area which is fenced in, band stand, wooded areas, loads of space for walks and picnics
Great to hear the bands play in the summer. Long may that continue! Well kept amenity grassland and park. Children's playground could do better, but safe.
Park in central Cirencester, convenient near shops and other amenities, with a few benches to sit on and large grassy space with lake and play area for children. The play area is fenced so dogs don't foul it. A sign tells visitors about the history of the area, and the dissolution of the monasteries. Not enough benches to sit on: all were taken. Toilets not clean. I wouldn't like to walk through here at night, very dark and lots of trees and bushes. Good car park. Could do with more boards scattered around, with more explanations about the old Roman city walls, gatehouse to the monastery etc, I think a map is available at the museum/tourist information. If you have children this us a great space, but not much to do otherwise.
