A beautiful & historic park that is steeped in English history & that has some lovely peaceful woodland walks, a lake with ducks & swans as well as some very interesting plaques about medieval Cirencester, St Mary's Abbey & so much more.
Lovely walk through the woods. Wonderful to listen to the birds and get away from traffic noise.
Perfect for a long or short walk in the fresh air. Well paved walkways. Plenty of space for dogs.
This park is great if you like lots of places to walk run, cycle or just enjoy the surroundings
Wonderful fresh air & a gentle stroll in the Cirencester park. A short walk out of the town's streets will take you through the gates & into the long straight drive of the park. The old barracks is right at the entrance of the park. We took a route passed the entrance to the open air swimming pool & the path is next to a stream, horses in the field opposite, & then a left turn, passed a beautiful old barn & then onto the straight path up the gentle incline. Half way up, there's a small stone folly to your right & we took the road to the left along which you see the stately home to the left & a column (similar to Nelson's column) off to the right. You can walk out onto the main road & go down into the town again with a fabulous Cotswold dry stone wall along the path & clear views of the church tower.
