Very poor after service from Steve Harding Cars so I would strongly advise you are careful when dealing with this garage. Vehicle had a couple of issues that were not identified when being sold to myself. Steve was kind enough to pay for a replacement alternator belt due to the existing one being worn and squealing when started up in the cold evenings which was not apparent on the test drive. The second issue was that under higher speeds the brakes would make the car shudder when applied. I travelled 30 miles to show Steve this and he agreed that the disks were warped and he would replace them should I want that. I agreed with him that I would see if they got any worse and 4-6 weeks later I arranged my local garage to do a brake check and they agreed that the disks were warped and needed to be replaced. At this point, Steve denied that he made this offer when the garage contacted him and would only pay for the labour. I contacted Steve and explained that I would have remembered if he said something like that as I would then put the car into the garage at an appropriate time financially. He was not interested and did not stick to his word. Very disappointed considering the initial experience so I would take all comments lightly.

Purchased a used Ford Ranger from Steve. I was very cautious as I'm based in Newport so it was a fair trek, but I'm pleased to say I haven't been disappointed. Not only were his prices very reasonable, he has been willing to compromise. A couple of minor faults had arisen on the car which were not covered by warranty - because they were pre existing when I purchased from him, he took responsibility straight away and all the repairs were invoiced directly to him. I would definitely recommend him - he comes across as friendly and genuine and has followed that up with unfaltering professional conduct.
