Great little museum, the main focus is the Roman history of Cirencester. However, there are other sections for later periods, which are packed with exhibits to give a complete history of the town.
Fantastic little museum. Really worth visiting and great for both adults and children. They have a small gift shop too :)
I am visiting from the USA and had a wonderful experience. The Corinium Museum is both comprehensive and interactive and is also great for kids. Everything is set up neatly and in a progressive manner through which the experience of learning becomes easy to digest, for just about anyone. Props to Brenda, the volunteer! A very knowledgeable educator who is both happy and eager to divulge information about the artifacts and does not shy away from any questions. Brenda definitely added to an already wonderful experience with her dynamic way of presenting information.I will definitely return one day and recommend this museum to anyone. Make sure to check out the Cathedral afterwards!Sincerely,Antonio
Excellent! One of the most informative museums I have been to. Every section has a small play area for children to keep them busy while you read. A very nice touch!
Very friendly and helpful reception by the ticket agent. We arrived a little before closing, and she explained the highlights and the ""must see'' areas. I thought our stay at the Plough Inn was unique with it's 1687 founding, but to visit the discoveries found in a city started by the Romans in 200 BC was an unexpected treat !
