Quite possibly the worst purchase we have ever made. The quality of their service was abysmal- months late on their original fit date, failure to complete the survey so doesnt fit properly, untrained fitters who have had to return almost 10 times to rectify issues ( including putting screws through plastic of appliances into wooden units to get a better fit and that could only be accessed when worktops are removed) leaving house in a mess every time they come, cupboards all different shades of blue so had to get them to send round a painter to get them all repainted who then left paint marks all over our floor and ceiling, rude and aggressive fitting manager who regularly missed appointments/ turned up hours. We managed to get a significant discount due to all the above issues and Id encourage other customers whove had similar experiences to do the same.
Absolutely delighted with our new Shaker Kitchen. From initial design help, to order, and on to delivery, really impressed and so pleased we made the choice over some other companies we were considering! Thank you!
We were extremely happy with the level of customer service we received in store and the aftercare that The Shaker Kitchen Co offered. The delivery process was also straightforward and efficient and the delivery men were fantastic. Would highly recommend.
I too am very surprised to see so many of you giving this company 5 star reviews. The product itself I cannot fault. However, the service we received was absolutely appalling. There was a catalogue of problems, phone calls were never returned, emails were never responded to. We even escalated our complaint to management who proved useless as they never got back to us either. Our kitchen initially arrived in July, we are now in October and the kitchen still isnt complete. We have had to resort to building and fitting the mantle ourselves in order to speed up the process. Such a shame they cant sort out their service. Even though the product is great, I would not recommend the company as they caused us so many problems.
Shakers kitchens look lovely on their website and in their showrooms - and my wife and I happily ordered a large new kitchen knowing we would be getting a solid, quality product.Sadly, from the moment we paid the large deposit it has gone downhill. We went through countless iterations of the design as items kept being dropped off or mislocated (you really do need to carefully check every measurement as we spotted several errors). The home survey didnt help as it just presented more discrepancies.That would be frustrating enough, but things have taken a real downward spiral with installation. The job was started two weeks ago (and not to a particularly impressive standard) but only left 70% complete. Several others we have spoken to have had this same experience. We have been battling with customer services ever since - but only get delayed half-baked apologies and the vague promise of a date in a fortnights time to finish the job. Getting traction with them has been extremely difficult. Escalating the issue hasnt helped at all and I wish wed not been so foolish as pay the balance prior to installation, as Shaker insisted.In short - a hugely frustrating experience and the lesson is: when the money leaves your pocket you no longer have leverage. Such a shame as Skaker make nice kitchens, but they do not have the resources to install them adequately (or in our case, at all!). This leaves us with a situation of having paid for something we have not received (and may not ever receive).
