Went to cafe today. Asked for hallumi salad got sandwich and salad. Anyway sandwich was OK, but salad another story. It was drowning in salad dressing. Literally every item was covered in it. So completely covered all the natural flavours with a vile strong dressing. If you want to taste your salad make sure you ask for dressing in a separate pot. Left all my salad. What a waste.
I visit the cafe regularly, normally the cakes are up to standard with a tasty GF option but today was a disappointment with a chocolate cake..very dry,the staff were happy to replace it but I would have preferred a refund as the other options looked dry too..that's a shame.
Great place for usable crafts with very lovely staff and a great cafe.
We were very disappointed at the food in cafe today , what as happened the food used to be amazing .It was organised chaos ,food was being taken to wrong tables . We asked to have cheese left off my husband order as he is allergic , it turned up with cheese , we returned it and when it came back the bread was stale and side salad was a few leaves .We complained to a member of staff who agreed it was unacceptable and explained it was very manic today ( even though cafe not full ) , and said to come back again and give them another chance when menu has settled in . I found that totally unhelpful and felt a refund should have been the least they could do . My beetroot walnut and feta salad really wasnt worth what I paid, the salads Ive had on previous visits were lovely . We sadly will not be returning
